A Thai trade delegation will be visiting Bahrain between Wednesday and Friday, as part of efforts to bolster business links between the two countries.
Bahraini importers, buyers and developers will have an excellent opportunity to interact with members of the delegation during a special session at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sanabis on Thursday from 10am to 12pm.
The visit attains immense significance amidst bilateral trade showing a growth of 43 per cent last year as compared with 2017.
Thailand’s exports to Bahrain from January 2019 to April 2019 have seen an increase of 9.65pc at $42 million.
Construction materials and related products are among the top exports to Bahrain due to its high quality, excellent design and reasonable price, according to the Thai Commerce Ministry.
Department of International Trade Promotion executive director Panot Punyahotra said members of the delegation will showcase various products and opportunities to create a strong trade collaboration between both nations.
“Aside from the competent and high quality of products imported, Thai companies are also known to be highly professional in international trade and well-known to be trustworthy in services and dealings,” he said.
The delegation is the first official team representing the Thai ministry to visit Bahrain in many years.
“The delegation is made up of 12 Thai companies which will also have business meetings with the BCCI representatives,” said Mr Punyahotra.
