Riyadh: The authorities in the Philippines have discovered new clues which may lead to solving the mystery of a Saudi trainee pilot who went missing a month ago.
The new details could help locate the lost plane and know the fate of Abdulla Al Shareef within the coming 48 hours.
The Saudi trainee pilot went missing on May 17, 2019, Occidental Mindoro Island during a training flight with his Filipino trainee. He travelled along with his brother to the Philippines to study aviation at their own expense.
The authorities in the Philippines are focusing on analysing key details, including the plane’s departure, direction of movement, speed, loss of contact and other information using cutting edge technology.
The missing pilot’s family members arrived at Mindoro Island where the plane disappeared to follow up on the incident.
Al Sharif, a student of the Orient Flying School and his flight instructor, Capt. Jose Nelson Yapparcon were on board Beechcraft Baron 55 (BB-55), a twin-engine operated by Orient Aviation Corp.
