Kuwait: The authorities in Kuwait have cancelled 20,000 residency visas after taking into account expatriates’ educational level and inadequate academic degrees.
Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mariam Al Aqeel unveiled the statistics of scrapped visas over the past three years.
A group of 194 foreign women have also been deported from Kuwait in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, out of 500 staying at the expatriates sheltering centre,being run by the general manpower agency.
The minister said that the centre reflects Kuwait’s commitment to combat human trafficking and the smuggling of immigrants, in compliance with international conventions and agreements.
