Tunis: More details emerged about a Saudi Arabian Airlines crew member, who was critically injured at the hotel where he was staying, in Tunis.
The Tunisian authorities questioned the pilots, hostesses and stewards on suspicion of involvement in the assault on their colleague.
The man was found lying in a critical condition near the swimming pool in the suburb of Gammart in northern Tunis.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit, bearing traces of extreme violence.
Saudi Airlines later issued a brief statement on its Twitter account, announcing that its employee had sustained critical injuries.
It said that it is following up the case with the Saudi Embassy in Tunis and the Tunisian authorities which are investigating the incident.
Local radio station Mosaique said that the flight, which was scheduled to take off from Tunis Carthage International Airport, with more than 200 passengers on board, was cancelled last Saturday.
