Saudi Arabian businessman Turki Al-Sheikh has bought Spanish second-tier club Almeria, according to Spanish media reports.
The report claims that current owner Alfonso Garcia had agreed to sell the club to the Saudi investor in a deal costing 25 to 27 million Euros, in addition to the unpaid debts, reports Almowaten.
Al-Sheikh decided to purchase the Andalusian club after selling his Egyptian team, Pyramids, to an Emirati investor.
He had first thought of purchasing Granada, another Spanish team, before sealing his successful negotiations with Almeria owners.
Reports confirmed that Al-Sheikh, the head of the Saudi entertainment body, has become president of the club after buying a large stake from former president Alfonso Garcia.
