GET ready to sing and travel far, far away with Dorothy and her dog Toto as the popular Broadway musical The Wizard of Oz makes its debut in Bahrain.
Based on the American children’s novel written by L Frank Baum, the musical is an enchanting revival of the all-time classic story developed from the ever-popular 1939 film of the same name.
The show features all the favourite characters from the movie’s cast, including Dorothy, Toto and the friends they pick along the way – the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow.
The breath-taking show with amazing special effects, choreography and classic songs from the film is sure to engage the children and adults alike.
Organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the event is set to be held from August 13 to 17 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre’s Hall 1 in Sanabis.
Evening shows will be held daily from 5pm to 7.30pm and daytime shows will take place from 11am to 1.30pm on August 14, 16 and 17.
Tickets cost BD10 for bronze, BD20 for silver, BD30 for gold and BD50 for VIP while children aged three and under will be allowed free entry.
