Dubai: An iconic picture taken by an Omani photographer was among the winners of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA).
The mesmerising “Two Eyes from Oman, by Salem Al Wahaibi, has conferred the “Public Choice Award”.
The General Secretariat of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award announced the laureates of the Instagram competition for the month of July, with the theme of "Blue".
The Omani prizewinner won the Sony Alpha a6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sony Middle East.
Photographers Elizabeth Jenny Tanner, Andy Abdeljalil, Mohamed Faisal Hosni and Andika Putra were the quadruple winners of the Indonesian lens.
Emirati photographer Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, accompanied by Indian Abhishek Boruheit, as well as Turkish photographers Erdal Picara and Murat Ebranoglu were also declared winners.
The winners will receive a medal for the award and their photos and names will be published on the official account of the award on Instagram.
