Students and officials after completing the course
More than 30 medical students took part in a sign language course conducted by the Bahrain Deaf Society.
It was organised by the community engagement department of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain.
Nursing and medicine students were taught basic sign language skills to help them communicate with patients having learning difficulties.
The course was conducted by society instructors Madhi Alnoaimi, Huda Al Mutawa, and Zainab Al Aswad.
