A total of 1,089,636 passengers crossed the King Fahd Causeway in both directions in 11 days.
The King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) Chief Executive Officer Emad Al-Muhaisan released the figures which cover the period running from August 6 to last Saturday (August17).
In a statement to Al-Riyadh, Passports director Colonel Dhuwaihi Al-Sahli said that 112,000 passengers crossed the causeway the Eid Al-Adha holiday – 55,000 of whom entered Bahrain.
The authorities operated at full capacity, opening 36 lanes for passengers entering Saudi and 22 for those heading to Bahrain, in addition to 13 U-Turn lanes.
