The overall number of cyber attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates has dropped by 28.6 per cent over the first seven months of 2019.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (RTA) reported 190 cyber attacks between January and last month (July 2019), down from 266 malicious attacks during the same period in 2018.
According to RTA figures, 89 attacks caused severe damage, while 66 others were considered as medium and 33 weak cyber attacks.
The overall number of malware increased by 8.3% last month (July 2019) to stand at 39 cyberattacks last month, up from 36 in July 2018.
