The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is relying on artificial intelligence to come to the rescue of people who have suffered a stroke.
The cutting-edge artificial intelligence software has been introduced at Rashid Hospital, heralding a new phase in the treatment of stroke victims.
The smart assistive technology, which has been tested in many western countries, slashed the time required for diagnosing a patient from 59 minutes to 2 minutes.
The Dubai-based Rashid Hospital has thus become the first Government-run establishment to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) powered robots, keeping abreast of international medical strides.
Neurologist and stroke specialist Dr. Suhail Abdulla Al-Rukn stress the importance of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency of healthcare.
He stressed the importance of machine-learning algorithms in the race against time by automatically analyzing CT scans of ER patients.
“Cutting-edge AI-powered robots can but brain stroke victims time and help stop the loss of brain cells prior to rehabilitation process”, he said.
