The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is proud to congratulate its students on their excellent examination results achieved for 2019.
The GCE Advanced Level (A-Level) cohort achieved an overall pass rate of 99.5 per cent; 38.3pc of which were at grades A*/A.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students achieved a 92pc pass rate.
All students have secured places in top universities around the world.
Adnan Demachkieh achieved the equivalent of A*A*A at A-Level and secured his place at University College London to study architecture.
Hashem Abdul Qadar achieved the equivalent of A*A A, and is now taking a gap year before embarking on his university studies.
Twenty-two BSB students took BTEC or BTEC/A-Level combinations and an incredible 81pc of the courses have grades equivalent to A*.
The GCSE results at BSB were also impressive, especially at the higher grades, with 28.6pc of all grades at the A* level.
The percentage of A*/A grades was 47.3pc compared to the UK average of 20.8pc.
These students will now embark upon their A-Level courses in preparation for university.
Head of seniors Wayne Ridgway congratulated the students for their exceptional results, which is the culmination of a lot of hard work and commitment over the last two years.
In addition to the top performers, there are a number of students who put in an exceptional amount of work to ensure that they exceeded their targets, which is an equally impressive achievement that they should be proud of.
