Muscat: Eligible Omani citizens will go to the polls on October 27 to elect their representatives at the Shura Council.
The Ministry of Interior today set the date for the Majlis A’Shura polls.
Election committees on the level of governorates have announced the preliminary lists of voters for the elections of the Shura Council for the ninth term.
The Interior Ministry published these lists on the election website for citizens to verify their data.
According to official statistics released by the ministry the total number of eligible voters in the preliminary lists stood at 713,335.
These include 375,801 male voters and 337,534 females. They will elect 86 members to the Majlis, according to Al Qabas.
