FLYWEIGHT contender Hussain ‘Iron’ Ayyad is another Bahraini confirmed to take part in the historical Brave CF 29 fight card on November 15 at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.
He will take on Matis Zarahovs from Latvia as he looks for his fourth straight win under the Brave Combat Federation banner.
Ayyad joins Hamza Kooheji as two of the top Bahraini fighters confirmed to take part in Brave CF 29.
Kooheji, the ‘Pride of Bahrain’, takes on Nahuel Gandolfi of Argentina.
Hussain made history as the first Bahraini to win a medal at the IMMAF World Championships and has continued his development into the professional leagues.
He holds wins over Jomar Pa-ac, Mohammed Abo Ali, Jason Vergara, and is coming off a domination of Mitchell Johnson at the groundbreaking Brave CF 24 card in London.
Zaharovs, who hails from Latvia, fights out of Ireland, and is undefeated in his professional career with two victories in as many bouts.
His last fight was this month as he made a splash in the European scene, and will now have the opportunity to compete at the global stage.
Brave CF 29 will be a landmark event for the sport of mixed martial arts.
Taking place during the Brave International Combat Week, the show will also be the host of the KHK World Championship, an open weight, one-night, four-men tournament.
It will grant the winner with the right to be called the KHK World Championship belt provisional holder, the heaviest prize in sports, adorned with 6.2kg of gold.
