Share in your children’s joy of the festive season with a book about all of Santa’s favourite places in the world.
With Christmas around the corner, Bahrain resident Julia Miles Inserro brings Christmas spirit to life with her latest creation Where Would Santa Go?
With hopes of sparking some curiosity and encourage exploration, Ms Inserro’s latest book sees Santa show a brother and sister his favourite places including Costa Rica, Tanzania, Iceland, Japan, among others.
“I really wanted to avoid the most-visited places like the Eiffel Tower, Great Pyramids, Roman Colosseum and the Great Wall of China,” Ms Inserro told the GDN.
“I wanted to encourage children to get out a map and see where Nepal is, or check out Oman, and figure out how long it will take them to get to Argentina.”
While the book is aimed at four- to nine-year-olds, it is perfect for everyone to enjoy.
Where Would Santa Go? is available on Amazon at $11.99 for the paperback edition, and on Kindle for $4.99.
The American author’s first book, Nonni’s Moon, became an Amazon bestseller and remains in the top one per cent ranking of all books sold by the online retailer.
The talented author has also produced a Countdown ’til Santa calendar, inspired by her own children’s excitement for the season.
“My children can’t be the only children who ask how many days left until Santa arrives,” she said.
“So I used the beautiful illustrations that Natalie Merheb created for Where Would Santa Go? and I created a 15-month calendar that can be easily printed out and used through December 2020.
“There’s also a corresponding activity book that people can download for free that has colouring pages, crafts, mazes, word searches and lots of fun Santa-related activities.”
The calendar can be downloaded for free from www.juliainserro.com just by subscribing.
