Saudi: A new fee worth SR10 will be levied on passengers travelling on internal flights in Saudi Arabia.
The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the new tax to paid by internal flight passengers for using airport facilities.
A GACA statement said that the levied fees would be used to fund infrastructure development projects, enhance the standard of services and revamp facilities.
GACA Assistant Chairman for Economic Policies and Air Transportation said that all airliners would enforce the new fee-regulation as from January 1, 2020.
He said that several categories of passengers would be exempted from paying the SR10 fee, including newborn babies, cabinet crew and transit passengers.
