Saudi: Saudi authorities have issued guidelines for overseas tourists visiting the country.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) urged visitors to respect religion, norms and traditions and to preserve resources and historical monuments.
The commission said that it’s necessary for both men and women to dress decently in public places and heed the social norms.
It advised tourists to ask for permission before photographing Saudi men, women or children.
The commission told tourists that it is not imperative to give tips (baksheesh) in extra money to service providers.
“While giving tips is not compulsory, it remains discretionary and left to the tourist’s personal judgement,” it said.
