Bahraini international professional bodybuilder Sami Al Haddad clinched the silver medal in the Romania Men’s Bodybuilding Championship held in Bucharest.
“The Blacksmith” outclassed other participants to finish second in the championship, which opened on Friday and concluded last Sunday.
He finished behind gold medallist Calderon of Spain. Third was Slovakian Tomas Tabaciar, followed by American Gaetano “Nino” Martinetti, Russian Ashut Kagarmanian and Spanish Dan Cristian.
Al Haddad has already bagged 15 medals – five gold, nine silver and one bronze – since he turned professional eight years ago.
He thanked His Majesty the King’s Representative for Youth and Sports Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their support.
