Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee, has approved the hosting of the first edition of #Strongest_Bahraini_Championship under the theme #GCC_Challenge.
Part of Shaikh Khalid’s sports and humanitarian initiatives, the event will take place on April 9-11, 2020 at Bahrain International Circuit. The proceeds raised will be donated to support cancer patients.
“We have approved the launch of the #Strongest_GCC_Man, through which we continue our efforts to make news platforms that embrace the youth in the GCC, especially those who are practising bodybuilding and physical fitness,” Shaikh Khalid said.
“We are keen to support them to unleash their energies and meet their potentials, while also strengthening the links among the participants who are from this region. The funds that will be raised from this event will be devoted to supporting cancer patients. It’s a real opportunity to show our solidarity with them.”
As part of the programmes of the event, qualifiers will take place in Saudi, Kuwait, UAE and Oman next month. The qualifiers will take place in January 2020. The dates of the qualifiers will be announced soon.
