Riyadh: A Saudi border guard has been killed in military shelling from across the border in Yemen.
First Corporal Abdulalilh Abdulla Humood Al-Shahrani died in a strike on a border guards patrol, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.
Earlier in January this year, another soldier was killed in shelling from Yemeni territories.
Around 90 civilians and soldiers have been killed in shelling and skirmishes in Saudi border regions since March when a Saudi-led military coalition began air and ground action in Yemen against Iran-backed militias.
