Riyadh: Saudi authorities executed an Egyptian national after he was convicted of smuggling drugs in the province of Tabuk.
Ibrahim Mohammed Salim Salman was caught trying to smuggle opium into Saudi Arabia, reported Arabic daily Sabq.
The Gulf Kingdom practises a strict Islamic legal code under which murder, drug trafficking, armed robbery, rape and apostasy are all punishable by death.
