Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will host the 8th International Glaucoma Surgery Congress from 17-20 February, Oman News Agency, reported.
The conference, which is organised by the Oman Ophthalmic Society and the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery, will witness a vast local, regional, and international participation.
It targets group of health workers from the Sultanate, some of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the world; containing doctors, nurses, opticians, ophthalmology researchers, and others working in Ophthalmology.
The conference will consist of several sessions of scientific papers focusing on Glaucoma; diagnosis and its early stages treatment presented by a number of specialised speakers from the Sultanate, GCC, Europe, and Canada.
It aims at briefing the participants with the ophthalmology updates, exchanging knowledge and experiences with the regional and international participants, and identifying the new surgical techniques used in Glaucoma diagnosis and management.
Also, the conference will include an exhibition to display the latest pharmaceutical products and electro-medical devices used in treating the Glaucoma from specialised international companies, along with scientific publications.
