LONDON Look was the biggest winner of the support races yesterday at Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.
The highlight of the day, of course, was the race for the Bahrain International Trophy which was won by Royal Julius, ridden by Stephane Pasquier, owned by Jean-Jacques Biarese and trained by Jerome Reynier.
Royal Julius beat favourite Turgenev ridden by Robert Havlin with a time of 13:41:47.
Rustang was third and Afaak fourth in a race with 13 runners after Euginio suffered a fall before the delayed race.
London Look, owned by Karrar Abdulhadi Ali Al Baqqali, trained by Taleb Ali and ridden by Anas Al Siyabi, beat Like thelook to claim the Batelco Sprint Cup for imported horses carrying a cash prize of BD7,000.
Fannaan was third and Don Armado fourth.
News Breaker, owned by Victorious, trained by Alan Smith and ridden by Lee Newman, beat Retort to win the Bapco Cup for locally bred horses carrying a cash prize of BD5,000.
Daleel was third and Milyar fourth.
Port Lions, owned by Victorious, trained by Hesham Al Haddad and ridden by Adrie De Vries, beat Diamond Wine to win the Batelco Handicap Cup carrying a cash prize of BD4,000.
