KHALID Janahi rallied from a set down to tame Ebrahim Sami Hassan last night in the men’s super singles of the 33rd GPIC Tennis Championship at the Bahrain Tennis Club in Juffair.
Janahi lost the first set 5-7 but put up a spirited fight in the second to seize it 7-5 before coasting a 10-2 win the third set tie-breaker.
The only other men’s super singles match last night was, by contrast, a straight set affair with Yousef Qaed beating Hassan A Redha 6-4, 6-4.
