AN Isuzu D-Max and mu-X completed an impressive journey of more than 1,400km on a single tank of fuel.
Participants of the Isuzu ‘One-Tank Challenge’ were welcomed to Bahrain by distributors Motorcity to celebrate the achievement.
Starting in Jeddah, Isuzu’s technical team sealed the fuel tank caps on both models under expert supervision.
When the team arrived at the Motorcity showroom in Nuwaidrat, Bahrain, members of the media witnessed the official unsealing of the fuel tank and the completion of the challenge.
Motorcity chairman Waleed Kanoo, in the presence of management and delegates from Isuzu Motors International, praised the team’s successful efforts. “The 1,400km of land travelled is an impressive feat made even more impressive by the fact that the team drove this on a single tank of fuel. This is testament to Isuzu’s advanced engine technology which goes the extra mile in fuel-efficiency.”
The Isuzu D-Max 2020 is available as 2WD and 4WD and boasts an economic turbocharged diesel engine in both, 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre versions, and has a fuel capacity of 76 litres.
The mu-X is designed with three rows of seats, a rear-view camera, 7-inch premium display audio system, plus a built-in roof monitor. The mu-X model is available with a 3.0-litre turbocharged engine and has a fuel capacity of 65 litres.
