Proposed was the biggest winner at yesterday’s horse racing in Sakhir scoring an upset victory to claim the Al Sharif Group Cup.
The outsider, owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Stephane Ladjadj, beat Baltic Knight by two lengths to win the race for imported horses which carried a cash prize of BD3,000.
Marhaba Malyoon was third and Moanaa fourth.
Favourite Caped Crusader, owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Alan Smith and ridden by Tristan Normand, lived up to expectations to win the Al Sharif Group Cup for locally bred horses which carried a cash prize of BD3,000.
The favourite beat Lazzaz by three lengths while Rayaash was third and Shanar fourth.
Equivalent, owned by Naser Ali Naser Almoamen, trained by Osama Hashim and ridden by Brett Doyle, was another upset winner when it beat Gen I Am by a neck to claim the Crown Industries Cup for imported horses which carried a cash prize of BD2,000.
Shura Council was third and Tally Ho fourth.
Autumns Blush, owned by Fawzi Abdulla Nass, trained by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Husain Makki, beat Grey Z by a neck to win the Al Sharif Group Cup which carried a cash prize of BD2,500.
Taffe was third and Langavat fourth.
Tickity Boo, owned by H and R Stables, trained by Alan Smith and ridden by Ahmed Maki, caused another upset when it beat Ghafiya by seven lengths to win the Al Sharif Group Cup which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Basmaan was third and Socialite fourth.
Missour, owned by Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Andrew Elliott, beat Al Jolan by six lengths to win the Crown Industries Cup for locally bred horses which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Savile Row was third and Annie Oakley fourth.
Al Jellabieh 1622, owned by Al Sakhir, trained by Jaffer Marzooq and ridden by Andrew Elliott, beat Al Hamdanieh 1508 by a neck to win the Crown Industries Cup for Arabian horses which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Musannan 1552 was third.
Zalazel, owned by Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Alberto Sanna, won the supporting race for locally bred horses which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Al Meesam was third and News Breaker fourth.
