Bahrain: People convicted of election “foul play” or “disruption” will be jailed for up to two years or fined BD2,000, or both, under new amendments to the 2002 Political Rights Law.
The changes, originally presented by the Shura Council, have been drawn up by the government and recommended by parliament’s legislative and legal affairs committee .
