BDF’S Ahmed Mansour won the Grand Prix title in the second round of the showjumping season held at Al Raffah.
Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) and Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of the showjumping committee, crowned the winners.
Mansour clocked 31.96 seconds and did not commit any fault. He was followed by Mayoof Al Rumaihi and ٍSami Ghazwan in second and third places respectively.
The former was three seconds away from first place winner while Ghazwan clocked 31.62 seconds.
This is the second victory for BDF after their rider Saber Salman triumphed in the Grand Prix event of the first round.
Mayoof Al Rumaihi made up for his second-place finish in the Grand Prix by emerging victorious in the third competition which was for amateur showjumpers.
Hani Al Yabes was second and Al Rumaihi, who participated on two different horses, was third.
In the race against time challenge, Ahmed Isa won first place clocking 47.02 seconds.
Mahdi Tourani and Sayed Mohammed finished second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, for the second week in a row, Ghazwan bagged first place in the joker event which featured obstacles of 115-120cm in height, finishing in 33.54 seconds with 44 points.
