Riyadh: Funeral prayers for Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will be held today (December 3) after nightfall (Isha’a) prayers at Mecca Grand Mosque.
The Saudi Royal Court had issued a statement announcing the death of Prince Miteb, aged 88, after a long battle with disease.
Born in 1931, Prince Miteb graduated with a degree in political science from the University of California in the US.
He was appointed Governor of Mecca by his father, the founder of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He was later named Minister of Municipalities and Rural Affairs, Water and Electricity, according to Almarsd.
