Established in 1956, Pakistan Urdu School is managed by a board of trustees.
It is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Pakistan to prepare the students for secondary and higher secondary examinations in arts, science and commerce.
Students follow the curriculum set and designed by the Oxford University Press from primary to middle/high school.
The present strength of the school is about 2,300 students and 250 staff members.
The medium of instruction is English and the school has separate classes for boys and girls.
Pakistan Urdu School has a team of dedicated teaching staff under the supervision of the school management and guidance of the board of trustees.
The school aims not only to provide proper academic grooming but also moral upbringing of the students.
The institution emphasises academic excellence as well as encourages co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Recently the school has undergone a major metamorphosis – a new block has been constructed and part of the boys’ middle section has been moved to this block.
The school also has new science labs for the middle and junior sections, audio visual lab with smart board, upgraded nurse room, arts room, a library and spacious auditorium for functions, seminars, debates and school exams.
The school ensures that all students are computer-literate, have included computer studies in the syllabus and set up brand new laboratories for the girls’ primary and middle sections.
The boys’ senior and middle section computer laboratories have also been upgraded and an upgraded computer network ensures that the whole school has wi-fi.
This February, the St Christopher’s School hosted the 2019 World Scholar’s Cup in Bahrain bringing together more than 740 students from 15 schools across the region and beyond.
They explored, discussed, debated and solved problems around a theme that connected science, technology, art, literature, music, history and current affairs.
Six students comprising two teams from Pakistan Urdu School participated, winning 46 medals in different categories of the competition.
Moreover, both teams qualified to participate in the global round.
This March, students also participated in the 9th World Robotics Olympiad 2019, organised by AMA International School in Bahrain National Stadium.
Pakistan Urdu School’s cricket team performed well in the Cricket Bahrain Association Tournament (under 12) and received remarkable appreciation.
A hockey team has also been formed for which students have shown great interest.
