CROWDS are expected to flock to the Water Garden City this weekend for a brand-new festival.
Held under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Revive Festival aims to provide a festive atmosphere for friends and family.
It will feature an interactive environment, with something for the entire family both in terms of the entertainment and activities set-up, while supporting Bahraini businessmen and women, artists, performers and talent showcases.
More than 200 Bahraini business owners are expected to take part in the event which begins tomorrow.
A whole host of activities have been planned and the event is designed to be eco-friendly, with recycling workshops available on-site and a number of vendors selling products made from recycled materials.
The structure of the festival itself is eco-friendly, having been made using recyclable and reusable material such as upcycled wood and steel and the electricity used coming partially from solar energy.
The festival will also host a farmer’s market to promote local produce.
Aside from the stalls, visitors will also be able to enjoy live music by Bahrain-based bands and DJs, and children can enjoy activities specially catered for them.
Every evening at 8pm will see a new performer take the stage and crowds also have the chance to take part in e-sport tournaments, cosplay competitions and raffle draws.
The festival will run every day from 4pm to midnight starting tomorrow until January 4.
