The curtain fell on the fifth edition of the shooting and bow and arrow championship for the Cup of National Guard president General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Security and Reconnaissance Division Chief Brigadier Hesham Mohammed Althawadi attended the awarding ceremony and honoured the winners at the Bahrain Shooting Association grounds.
Participants from the National Guard and the Ministry of Interior took part in the five-day competition, organised by the Bahrain Shooting Association, in cooperation with the National Guard.
Ali Abdulla Ali and Safa Mohammed Salman won the 10-metre air rifle shooting contest for men and women respectively.
The 10-metre pistol winners were Abdulmajid Abdulkhalq and Mooza Ali.
Tammar Ali Al Wataa and Mariam Ramadhan Al Asam excelled in skeet shooting in their respective categories.
The winners in the bow and arrow contest were Ahmed Al Dosary and Sarra Al Marzooq.
Brig. Althawadi honoured Mohammed Khalid Saad in the new category (Turab), which was added to the championship on the 23rd anniversary of the National Guard.
