Acciona, through its Water Division, will participate in a series of sessions on water security and digitisation in the sector at the Water Expo & Forum, to be held in Abu Dhabi from tomorrow (Jan 13) till January 16.
The Water Expo & Forum is part of the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2020 summit.
The company will have an exhibition area in the Water Expo & Forum, located at stand 4105 (halls 3 & 4). It will offer visitors the opportunity to learn about the projects the company has been working on over the last year in its different lines of business, and particularly in the field of desalination, one in which Acciona is a leader in the Middle East.
Acciona will participate, together with other world leaders in the water sector, on expert panels to analyse the main challenges facing the sector and to explore ways of ensuring sustainable water supplies in a context of population growth and climate change.
Jesús Sancho, Managing Director of Acciona’s Infrastructure Business Division in the Middle East, will participate in a panel on Monday (Jan 13) at 15:00 titled “Mitigating natural & unnatural threats to water security”.
Julio de la Rosa, Acciona’s Business Development Director in the Middle East, will present a case study to highlight how digitisation can bring about major improvements in terms of efficiency, during the panel titled “Water in the Digital Age” to be held on Tuesday (Jan 14) at 10:35.
The World Future Energy Summit is one of the main world events on sustainability and the leader in this segment in the Middle East. It is a platform and meeting point that brings together governments and companies to debate the issues and challenges faced by the water sector in arid regions of the world, as well as presenting cutting-edge solutions that allow joint efforts to be made to deal with these challenges.
