Saudi: A Saudi car driver and his navigator (co-driver) have been suspended for three months for flouting safety regulations during the Dakar Rally 2020.
The navigator was spotted as he poured coffee from a flask he was carrying during the NEOM phase of the race, which concluded last Friday.
The driver clicked a photo of his navigator as he was serving him the coffee, said the e Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF).
The driver and his navigator will not be able to compete in any local or international races for three months.
A SAMF statement said that the reckless act harms the country and Saudi drivers who compete in international races.
