UAE: The UAE health authorities have suspended the use of 11 types of medicine over manufacturing irregularities.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention sent a circular in this regard to all pharmacies to stop registering the medications which are produced by Pharma International Company (PIC).
The decision was based on a notification issued by the International Health Council for the countries of the Cooperation Council.
The suspended drugs are prescribed for patients suffering from diabetes, coughing, acidity, depression, hypercholesterolemia, in addition to antibiotics.
The list includes: Biscor 5&10 mg tablet; Cefutil 500 Mg Tablets; Glymet 500&800mg Tablets; Nadine 150&300 Mg Tablet; Simcor 10&20 Mg Tablets; Lukast 10 mg Tablet; Diostar Plus80&160 Tablet; Tablet Nevotic 500mg; Citapram 40mg Tablets; (CIPROPHARAM 250&500 Tablet and EXYM SYRUP).
