Riyadh: Two nurses infected with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) are recovering, reported Saudi Gazette.
The patients, a Filipino and an Indian expatriate, tested positive for MERS-Cov virus at Al-Hayat Hospital in Abha, Asir.
The nurse who contracted the virus hails from Ettumanoor in Kottayam district of the southern Indian state of Kerala.
She reportedly contracted the virus while caring for a nurse from the Philippines, who had tested positive for Novel Coronavirus.
She is among some 50 Indian nurses working at Al-Hayat Hospital in Khamis Mushayt and she has been shifted to the corona centre of Asir Central Hospital following the infection.
