Flavored Yoghurt

With beneficial bacterial and a great taste yoghurt is a popular food for all ages, however nutrition counselor Schonborn says this is one of the first products she steers clients away from. Why? The amount of added sugar.

Instead, purchase plain or vanilla yogurt and sweeten it up yourself with honey or maple syrup and you can throw in some fresh fruit. Schonborn says you'll never add as much sugar as the flavored options.
