Manama: Bahrain’s rapid strides in a highly globalised energy market will be in focus at an upcoming international show.

The firth Arabian MEP Conference and Exhibition, being held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre next week, will also discuss the uneven increase in energy and water consumption, which has negatively affected the supply and demand of these valuable natural resources.

The event from April 12 to 14, under the patronage of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Essam Khalaf and supported by the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry, will bring into the spotlight the demand for higher energy efficiency, environmentally friendly products and use of sustainable technologies in Bahrain and the region.

“This year, the event will feature new and latest products, trends, technologies, opportunities, innovations and services in MEP, HVAC, insulation, automation and energy and water conservation, with a particular focus on green technologies,” organiser Exposure Media managing director Sijo Joseph said.

“The show will also discuss latest developments during seminars addressed by experts, who will speak about energy and water conservation methods.”

He said the event, which is being held for the fifth year in a row, is a serious opportunity for business-to-business, business-to-government and business-to-commercial networking.

Mr Joseph said Arabian MEP has a leading client database of investors, the government sector, consultants, contractors and engineering associations, which will be of great benefit to participants.

He said higher energy efficiency; green products and sustainable technologies that have accelerated the pace at which new products and innovations are launched in the market will feature at the event, billed as a gathering of professionals and experts.

Business deals worth $700 million were concluded during the last three shows, which were attended by more than 10,000 visitors.
