Riyadh: A case of Middle East Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) has been diagnosed in the Saudi city of Najran.
The Health Ministry announced that all medical and preventive measures have been taken as per the protocol in such cases.
It affirmed that no case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) had been diagnosed in the country, though a 61-year-old Saudi who travelled to Kuwait from Iran was among three passengers who tested positive in Kuwait, Sabq reported.
The ministry said that co-ordination is underway with the Kuwaiti health authorities to treat the infected Saudi citizen.
