Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has issued an edict stiplutaing the procedures for clubs to apply for membership.
The regulations were endorsed during a regular board meeting headed by BFA president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
He stressed the importance of the upgraded regulations to keep pace with the development of the sport in Bahrain and the world, reflecting the royal directives to promote professionalism and excellence.
He hailed His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his strategies to develop football in Bahrain.
The new regulations set the terms for membership and renewal of membership, the club’s premises and financial affairs.
The panel also set up a High Organising Committee which will be in charge of organising the U-16 Asian Championship, which will be held in Bahrain from Septemer 16 to October 3.
The commitee, chaired by Shaikh Ali, includes BFA deputy chairman For Administrative and Financial Affairs Ali bin Ahmed Al Buainain, secretary-general Ibrahim Al Buainain and other officials.
The BFA board also set up the executive committee in charge of local football championships. Chaired by Ali Al Bouainain, the committee includes secretary-general Ibrahim Al Buainain, general coordinator Hassan Ismail and other officials.
