Riyadh: A total of 70 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were diagnosed in Saudi Arabia, bringing the overall number of infected people to 344, said the Ministry of Health.
In a statement reported by SPA, the ministry said that the new cases of infected patients include people who arrived from Morocco, India, Jordan, Britain, the Philippines, the UAE and Switzerland. They have all been diagnosed with the virus and kept in isolation.
A group of 50 other people came in close contact with other infected people, while attending social gatherings, or marriage ceremonies and other meetings.
Two infected persons are in critical condition, eight patients recovered out of the 344 cases, while the others are undergoing medical treatment as per the accredited health protocols, SPA added.
