Kuwait City: Kuwait has set up a toll-free hotline to provide psychological consultancy to distressed citizens and residents as the country battles the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), Kuwait Times reported.
Spearheaded by the Kuwait Psychological Association (KPA), the initiative aims to reach out to vulnerable people who bear the brunt of Covid-19.
The association has also set up a rapid intervention team to help those suffering from the psychological impact of the disease on their lives and livelihoods, as a result of the lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.
Experts will also reach out to citizens and residents who are in quarantine either at home or at health facilities in a bid to help them withstand their conditions.
These services will be carried out by experienced psychologists who are members of the association and have volunteered to provide the service to people in distress.
