Manama: Experts taking part in a major conference in Bahrain from Tuesday will discuss global efforts to conserve energy and save water.
Professionals from across the region and Bahrain will present a series of key technical seminars during the Fifth Arabian MEP Conference and Exhibition, being held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre until Thursday.
The event, under the patronage of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Essam Khalaf, will bring into the spotlight the demand for higher energy efficiency, environmentally friendly products and use of sustainable technologies in Bahrain and the region, besides discussions on the uneven increase in energy and water consumption, which has negatively affected the supply and demand of these valuable natural resources.
“More than 60 exhibitors are expected to showcase more than 350 brands at the show, which will also feature more than 13 seminars,” said organiser Exposure Media managing director Sijo Joseph.
“This is an initiative designed to create a unique platform to form a convergence of major MEP players under one roof to evaluate the scope of electro-mechanical technology and services in the Middle East and work towards meeting the accelerated demand in the building as well as industrial segments.”
It is billed as an opportunity for networking and exchanging professional experiences.
He said the event would showcase mechanical, electrical, plumbing, insulation, refrigeration and automation products and services for the entire Middle East region.
“The show is built on the solid foundations of the previous four successfully hosted Arabian MEP exhibitions and conferences since 2012.”
He said this edition will feature new and latest products, trends, technologies, opportunities, innovations and services in MEP, HVAC, insulation, automation and energy and water conservation, with a particular focus on green technologies.
“During the exhibition, there will be an opportunity for meeting top dignitaries from several Bahrain ministries like Works, Industry and Commerce and Electricity and Water Authority.”
Business deals worth $700 million were concluded during the last four shows, which were attended by more than 10,000 visitors.
The event this year is sponsored by Awal Gulf Manufacturing, Elta fans and Econosto as platinum sponsors.
