Manama: Diyar Al Muharraq has awarded the secondary infrastructure works in Assets 13A, 23B and 24, on the northeastern coast of Muharraq Island to SSH, one of the leading master planning, infrastructure, building design, construction supervision and project management firms in the Middle East.

SSH scope of services include design and supervision of roads, combined potable and firefighting, foul sewer, storm, treated sewage effluent, electrical, street lighting and telecommunications to the three assets totalling more than one million sqm in area.

Muharraq Island is a reclaimed area that is planned as an eclectic mix of residential and commercial developments composed of residential villas, investment buildings, community retail centre, mosque and public open spaces.

SSH has recently won a string of infrastructure projects in the kingdom, following the mobilisation of an infrastructure team that will cater to the growing infrastructure demand of Bahrain.

“This award is a clear vote of confidence in our local capability and our in-depth understanding of the requirements of Bahrain and it’s ministries” said SSH infrastructure director Mark Jamieson.

“Supporting master developers such as Diyar Al Muharraq is at the core of our expertise. With our internationally acclaimed design and supervision teams we can address technical queries and interface with clients and authorities at a moment’s notice. We understand the importance of our clients being able to advance their projects and promote new residential and commercial areas in good time, allowing them to be in a strong position to meet the increasing demand of the market,” SSH Resident Director Andrew Barwick said.

SSH maintains offices in Abu Dhabi, Algeria, Bahrain, Dubai, Iraq, Kuwait, London, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
