Riyadh: A Saudi woman gave birth to quadruplets - two boys and two girls – at the Hera General Maternity Hospital in the City of Mecca.

The 31-year-old lady underwent a successful Caesarean section (C-section) and gave birth to premature babies in her seven months of pregnancy.

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Rami Al-Safi said that the C-section surgery was conducted without any complications.

Neonates Consultant Doctor Ahmed Humoor said that the newborn babies’ weight ranged from 1kg to 3.3 kgs.

The mother and her quadruplets are reportedly in stable condition and are kept under medical observation, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.
