Bahrain-based kite-surfer Anke Brandt officially broke her own world record by kite-surfing 550 kilometres from Bahrain to the UAE.
The 32-year-old German made landfall at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning.
She set off from Amwaj Islands at 2.45pm on Sunday and was originally expected to complete the journey in 24 hours.
However, it took her more than 34 hours with bad weather hampering her progress.
