Al Nasr kept their title hopes alive after defeating Dar Kulaib 3-2 in the second of the best-of-three final series of the Bahrain Volleyball League at Bahrain Volleyball Association sports hall in Isa Town last night.
The set scores were 25-21, 17-25, 25-17, 21-25 and 15-11.
Al Nasr have now squared the series after Dar Kulaib had clinched the first final 3-2 in a thrilling comeback victory. Al Nasr led the first two sets that match before Dar Kulaib came back to win three straight sets.
Last night it was Al Nasr’s turn to pull of a thrilling victory in front of a full house. The match was no different from the first final, with Al Nasr stretched to five sets for victory.
Hassan Dhahi and Mohammed Abduljabbar were the heroes for Al Nasr, leading their side to a crucial win.
The decisive third match will be played next Thursday.
Al Nasr’s coach Hassan Ali was warned during last night’s game with a yellow card by the referees, and his team ace Fadhel Abbas was sent off with a red card after an argument with the officials.
