Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa thanked His Majesty King Hamad for issuing a decree on setting up clubs in the form of commercial companies in accordance with the Commercial Companies Law.
Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the decree reflects the royal support to youth and sport sectors in Bahrain. He praised the efforts of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for pressing ahead with development in the youth and sport sectors.
He lauded the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for empowering clubs through the “Estijabah” Committee. “This move cements our efforts towards sports professionalisation. It gives clubs unlimited opportunities to improve their structures and allow them to move steadily by taking advantage of the investment facilities provided by investors and banks,” he said.
