Muscat: Oman has lifted its lockdown on all provinces except Dhofar as the country gradually eases its restrictions due to the Novel Coronavirus.
Dhofar province will remain under lockdown until further notice, Oman’s state news agency ONA reported, citing the country’s Supreme Committee.
Night restrictions will remain for about one week, starting Aug. 8, with unnecessary travel not allowed from 9pm until 5am, it said.
The country's Health Ministry announced 290 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate to 81,357.
It also recorded 509 total deaths and 73,481 recoveries as a result of the disease.
