Paris FC have secured its second consecutive victory in Ligue 2.
The team defeated Valenciennes FC 1-0 in the second round of French second division football championship.
Gaetan Laura scored the goal in the 47th minute.
Paris FC now lead the table after back-to-back victories, including a 3-0 away win over Chambly.
His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed Paris FC’s second win in Ligue 2, representing Bahrain Victorious which owns a 20 per cent stake.
He underlined that the team’s victory confirms their high ambitions, top of which is securing promotion to Ligue 1 this season.
“The presence of the Victorious Bahrain logo on the jerseys of Paris FC is an enormous gain that serves the promotion of Bahrain and its accomplishments and achievements in various areas, in an effort to achieve Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which encourages taking advantage of all international events to promote Bahrain’s successes,” Shaikh Nasser said.
He pointed to the great efforts being exerted by the team’s administrative and technical staff who are providing an ideal environment for the players in a bid to allow them to live up to their potential. He wished the team best of luck in their next game against Amiens FC on September 12.
